Camphor has a sharp, fresh, cooling camphoraceous aroma — clean, dry, and penetrating — with a herbal-minty undertone and a distinctive physical cooling sensation on the skin and in the sinuses.

Uses
Adds sharp camphoraceous freshness and cooling lift to aromatic, fougère, and herbal compositions in fine fragrance.

Camphor Crystals hit the nose with an immediate sharp, cooling blast — clean, dry, and purely camphoraceous. A herbal-minty quality underneath connects it to rosemary and lavender. This is a trigeminal material: you feel it in your sinuses as much as you smell it.

Use camphor in traces to add sharp freshness and clarity to aromatic and fougère compositions. It cuts through heavy materials like patchouli and myrrh, bringing air and definition. In lavender accords, a touch reinforces the natural camphoraceous facet that’s already present in good lavender oils.

Pair camphor with eucalyptus and rosemary for medicinal-aromatic effects, or with bright citrus for a clean, bracing opening. Small doses alongside incense and resinous materials create an unexpected cool contrast to warm, smoky bases. Dose carefully — camphor overwhelms everything if overdone.
