Description
Persicol
Synthetics Aroma Ingredients
Powerful aroma Fragrance note and an Excellent Fixative
Aroma Fragrance: Rich, velvety, and achingly sweet Peach profile.
Classification: It is classified as a perfume base (or specialty accord) rather than a pure single chemical. It was originally designed to showcase and soften the intensely sweet, fruity, and fatty-waxy properties of newly discovered lactones.
As an Aroma Fragrance: It provides a realistic, creamy, and succulent peach-skin character. It acts primarily as a heart note (middle note) that can bleed into the base of a fragrance. It is famously responsible for the legendary peach accords in historical fragrances like Guerlain’s Mitsouko (1919).
As a Fixative: Because the core molecule inside Persicol (gamma-undecalactone) is a heavy lactone with low volatility, it exhibits immense tenacity. It can last for over 300 hours on a smelling strip, effectively anchoring more volatile top notes and slowing down their evaporation.
Odor Family: Fruity (Lactonic / Peach)
Odour Profile
