Canthoxal presents a soft, sweet anisic character with delicate watery and transparent qualities, featuring distinctive fennel, basil, and licorice notes enhanced by subtle fruity raspberry and pear facets.
Uses
Heart note for floral accords, juicy fruit effects, herbal compositions, and modernising anisic themes in diverse fragrance types.
Canthoxal is a light anise aroma chemical with facets of liquorice and a very delicate wateriness.
Canthoxal blends beautifully with Armoise Oil, Basil Oil, Spanish Anise Oil, Toscanol, Anisic Aldehyde (and others members of the same family).
Canthoxal has the very rare distinction of having had its IFRA limit considerably liberalised in the latest standard, going from 0.82% to the much larger 2.5%.
