Scent profile: Fresh rose, sweet, slightly citrusy (lemon/geranium), and waxy.
As a Fixative : It shows “fixative-like” behavior by slowing the evaporation of more volatile top notes, but it is classified as a middle-to-top note rather than a dedicated base-note fixative.

Citronellol presents a fresh, clean, floral-rosy aroma with subtle citrusy, waxy and green undertones.

Uses
Fundamental building block for rose, geranium and muguet accords; provides freshness and lift to fragrances.

Citronellol is rich and rose-like, deeper than Geraniol (which it complements greatly) and waxy. It has more of a rose’s leafy character than the other rose alcohols.
